WEIGHT BEFORE SHIPMENT

You, importing the goods to Brazil, don't forget to weight
the cargo before shipment and mention it on the B/L
or AWB separately from TARA weight

It will avoid any penalty from Brazilian Customs

FREE TIME & DEMURRAGE

Seven days Free Time for containers in Brazilian

importation is a regular procedure.

If your is starting to import into Brazil, this seven

days is not enough - trust it.

Until your company became a well-known of Brazilian

Customs, try to get at least 30 days of

Free Time from the container liner.

DDP IS NOT ALLOWED IN BRAZIL

Be warned that DDP term in Brazil importation

is forbidden (click here for the law).

But, don't despair.

Brazilian Customs allows Third Party method

importation under official contract before shipment

with pre-registration in the Customs.

STAY TUNED

Many quotations in Brazil is tricky.

They don't bring the "accessories expenses".

The accessories expenses should be Toll Fee,

Extra Costs, Demurrage, Unexpected Labors,

even Force Majeure. Detail matters.
